Really hope this isn't anything too serious. A loss of Clark would be huge for this defense. I expect him to join the elite pass rushers this year and become well known outside of Seattle. It's early to start panicking but consider me concerned.

Meh, I remember when the Seahawks played with everybody on their defensive line having at least one hand clubbed because of injuries. I'm sure he can play through whatever it is!

Meh, put that thing in a cast for precautionary measures and get out there! I can't imagine a wrist injury stopping a DL from playing.

Whistling past the graveyard on this one. Wrists can be tricky and they could opt for early surgery to get it dealt with so we have him the latter half of the season. He can play clubbed, but how much does it impact his use of his hands, for tackling and risk further damage....

Daryl Tapp actually got better when he figured out how to use his club , and when it came off he reverted to very average at best

This is a good point. And anytime you can say Whistling past the graveyard is good lol

The best Dlineman use their hands like a fine artist or surgeon or you name the occupation. Can a clubbed guy play, yes but can they be as effective? probably not.

The rotoworld link implies its harder to play with a wrist injury than a hand injury. Regardless I hope its a minor issue.

Was gonna say the same thing.

Very well could be wrong here but AFAIK the club is for hand injuries, whereas a major wrist injury would prevent you from even using the club as a club without risk to reinjury.

Chris Richard just mentioned in his presser that Frank Clark should be ready for week 1. That's good news. I always get a little concerned when anyone is sent to see a specialist.

Most definitely elevates us out of :M:E:H:

Oh, with a wrist/hand injury one can still rock and roll, but not with a groin! OH NO!

Agreed. He is huge for us this year too.

If Richard says he should be good to go for week 1, that's good enough for me.

Moving on...

Yep, until you go to tackle someone or hand fight an olineman.

I'll assume it's not all that bad. A bad sprained wrist weakens the entire hand and would limit a Dlineman.

Today Pete said the results from the visit were positive, he has a sore & legit sprained wrist. He could play this week, but they will hold him out. He'll be ready next week. :irishdrinkers:

Well, now he can use his other hand. It's like someone else is doing it for you. Oh wait, we're talking about football

Yea, wrists can be serious. Didn't Anthony Simmons eventually get cut here, and then retire due to his wrist injury?

If my memory is correct.
