It's a bummer, but it was expected. Was hoping we could keep Kendricks playing until we got KJ back, but it is what it is.

No hard feelings for the guy. Plead guilty and has some pretty severe punishment looming in early 2019. Hope the guy gets right and can make his way back into the league after he serves his time.

Bad timing on this for sure. I don't think we have a palatable backup plan at the moment yet, and with Earl going down we can't run the same big nickel look that was working in Chicago. My vote would probably be 80%+ big nickel with McDougald - Thompson - Hill but I hope the coaching staff has a better idea I haven't considered yet.

Don't be overly certain either way regarding what sort of sentence Kendricks will receive. A lot of the numbers being thrown around do not include the plea deal consideration and there is a lot of discretion involved on the part of the judge in these sort of cases.

He has been really helpful.

He's a good player and I hope his legal issues get resolved in a way that we can keep him in future seasons.

I don't get "indefinite" suspension. Seems like a few games would be appropriate.

The Rams are the NFL's current hot ticket. Can't have some team from South Alaska running the risk of an upset. :stirthepot:

First I'd heard that the suspension came through. Yeah, knew it was coming. Wish it could have been one more week at least, but oh well.

Kind of like when someone goes down injured. Nobody feels sorry for us, have to still keep playing.

Three pretty significant hits in one week. Ugh!

What happens with his contract while he's suspended/in jail? Does it go into suspended animation and resume when he's out, or what?

Appears indefinite so until he clears sentencing he is done. That's in January, we have his rights till contract is up or cut. Kind of lousy really non violent crime non drug related and being treated like this and Goodell would not even hear it.
