Drew Brees on Rusell Wilson and Seahawks

Very good interview with Brees. HE talks about RW and meeting him at the Pro Bowl. Also has very good things to say about Earl.

Makes for a great game Monday.

You don't tip on take out. You tip for service. What service is provided when picking up take out? Somebody walking the bag out from the kitchen? Screw that. Tip on delivery or sit down, not on pick up. No way... I tip myself.

I tip on takeout and I don't make anywhere near $100 mil. $75 is a lot of food to prepare for what was likely a mom-and-pop place.

Then again, it was supposed to be a sarcastic jab. People are so damn uptight around here.

Saints fan aren't required by the rules of media image consultants to say flattering things about their opponents before games each week.

Brees could believe everything he says, and could not believe a single thing he says. The same is true of every QB in the pre-game interview with the opposing teams' beat reporters.

I'm loving these interviews, Jared Allen 2 weeks ago, now Brees. iRo is right, it's pure football porn.

It's a trap. He was pulling some kind of Jedi mind thing.

In reality, was a classy interview. Showed lots of respect to RW & the Hawks.

Have any of you listened to Russell's latest interview at .com? Each side is trying to lay it on thicker. The first half of Russell's PC is all about Brees. Jared Allen had me cracking up the week before last! The dude is an awesome interviewee. I think he had the whole press room busting their gut!

For sure. Those two interviews just make it utterly impossible to dislike those players or really do anything but root for them except against your own team.

Brees on Lynch's run: "Somebody please tackle him..."

What makes the Brees and Allen interviews such great porn is they are much more than the boiler-plate "don't provide any bulletin board material" interviews. Thoughtful commentary interspersed with some self-deprecation.

He's truly affraid.

The two best QBs in the NFC this year are Brees and Wilson. Rodgers who?

Microsoft landed him for the closing party at Tech-Ed in New Orleans which was hosted in the Super Dome. The guy was very easy to access and had setup a line to catch a pass from him, all about 15-20 Yards. He did it for everyone in the line and didn't stop for well over an hour, maybe closer to 2. He literally must have thrown 500 passes that night and didn't even flinch.

Hard not to like Brees, probably why Wilson is fond of him. They certainly know how to communicate with the public.
