Im not saying the NFL planned this or anything, but isnt this the exact perfect situation the NFL wanted from before the season started.
Mods move this if this has already been talked about.

What Im saying is, for the AFC, Manning vs Brady, who could ask for anything better

The NFC, probably the biggest rivalry in football at this time, SF vs Seattle.

I can see the TV ratings going through the roof this sunday!

I don't know, Richard Sherman vs. Manning would draw a pretty big audience.

It's be quite poetic if it was the best offense in the league versus the best defense, when is the last time we had that in the Superbowl? And unlike previous years where you could debate who had the best (based on yards/scoring etc), this is a year where both are standouts.

The last time the number 1 O played the number 1 D was the Raiders Bucs game (based on yards, although the Raiders were still 2nd in points scored and Bucs ranked 1st in most categories like ourselves).

And a good omen for the future is that the Defense triumphed dramatically in that game (in what was probably the last blowout in the Superbowl), although we know the real reason for that...

A matchup pitting the consensus NFL MVP versus Sherman and Earl . . 2 leaders in the DPOY talks. What more could the media ask for?
