Correct it's a local suburban area in the Bay Area. Though in my opinion Martinez is worse.

Don't get it, either, unless he meant to say Santa Clara, since that's where the 49ers are moving to starting next season. Milpitas itself is perfectly fine suburb of the county, about 10 minutes from where I live in San Jose.

I've been to Martinez. Yeah, that's a hole.

I stayed in a motel 6 in San Rafael not to long ago next to a highway. It was as nice as it sounds.

Milpitas used to be a dump (literally) years ago and it smelled. But like a lot of the real estate in and around silicone valley it was too valuable to stay that way.

I was born in SJ and lived in Milpitas as a kid....and I don't have any clue what this thread is about either.
