Toby Gerhart hopes to become white 'Beast Mode' for Jaguars

"Gus comes from the Seattle Seahawks' model of playing good defense, relying on the run game where Marshawn Lynch was their 'Beast Mode' out there," Gerhart said Wednesday, per USA Today. "Hopefully, I'll be the 'Beast Mode' down here for the Jaguars. I want to be a guy who helps turn this program around with a physical, punishing offense."

Glad Toby isn't wasting his prime years being warehoused in Minny. He has more speed and balance than people give him credit for. Love Jaguars move to acquire his hard running style.

I still can't believe Ingram won the Heisman over Gerhart. He was a beast at Stanford. I wish him and all of the the other Seahawks East players the best this season.

Gerhart was robbed of the Heisman for sure.

Whether he is able to become the 'White Beast Mode' is uncertain.

There is no other Beast Mode.

There have been others before him, but the White version was Larry Csonka and John Riggins.

There was a time when Merrill Hoge ran like beast mode, but it was not consistent.

Obviously Campbell... yikes, my dad said that Jim Brown was like that too, but in the current era it just isn't there. Okoye could drag guys, but he was 260 pounds and only had one move, forward.
