    This is what I think too. Don't usually see player for player trades anymore. What's the point in getting a draft pick that can't help this year? All it would do is weaken the Hawks for this year. Depending on how DK meshes with the new staff, I could see him getting death with a year left...

In that scenario though, rather than take a DT, the strategy was to trade down vs taking Fautanu because you could pick up a starting guard in round 2 or 3.     Was driving and had NFL Network on when this pick was made. I think it was the guy in charge of the Senior Bowl who really liked it. Whoever was talking relayed a story on how they went to UTEP to scout the QB and the coach said "you need to watch this linebacker"

    I'll keep an eye on the draft tracker on my phone and if I am home, tune into NFL network when the Hawks pick is coming up. It was a very cool moment to see us pick Shaquem Griffen. Annoys the * out of me when they go to commercial at our pick.

    On the pick vs trade down debate, I can't remember who it was but it reminds me of a podcaster saying this once in that debate "you know what's better than getting more picks? Getting good players!"
