Bobby Wagner "No Hatred" For Seahawks

You need to look at the contract his hit on the cap is 2.5 mil this year. It is plain as day. 1.5mil salary, 1 mil bonus(which is the 5 mil signing bonus spread out 1 mil per year over the 5 years) In 23 he gets his roster bonus of 3.5mil(which he is due for being on the team this year) and the...

Bobby Wagner "No Hatred" For Seahawks

Then you need to look at it again he is making 2.5 mil this year. 12 mil next, 12 mil the next, 11.5 mil the next and 12 mil the final year, but most of the guaranteed money is in the first 2 years of the contract. So as I pointed out when you said he is making 10 mil a year including this year...

Bobby Wagner "No Hatred" For Seahawks

That is not remotely correct. This year Bobby will make 2.5mil 2023 Bobby will make 12mil or if the rams cut him they will be out 7.5mil and save 4.5mil 2024 Bobby will make 12 mil or if the rams cut him then they will be out 3mil, with a 9mil savings 2025 Bobby will make 11.5mil or if the rams...

Bobby Wagner "No Hatred" For Seahawks

Yeah and the hawks FO is not obligated to inform him or his agent, in this case the same person. But a FO with respect should have picked up the phone right after the meeting it was decided and called him and told him. Especially for a player like him that has played here so long.

    Center Austin Blythe signed

Having seen him with the Rams, he is a average to slightly below average C but can also play OG. I was hoping the Rams could swing keeping him before he left as a top notch backup, but I get the guy wants to start, I think he is in the 15-20 range for starters at C. I think he will be better...

    Allen Robinson

The cap is easy to play around with if you convert base to bonus and use void years. Something the Rams do a lot and the hawks don't do a lot. Yes they do it sometimes but not to often. It pushes the money down the road, which everyone keeps saying oh they will pay for it eventually. But not...

Poll: Grade our team build thus far.

So far I like some of what I have seen and some I don't so for now giving them a C but to early to say how it will all shake out.

It seems like the cap doesn't matter anymore

The above is wrong in several places WR Kupp, WR Woods, I forget his name the starting RT(was not on a rookie deal), AD, Ramsey, all had restructured deals to free up a lot of cap space last year that was used elsewhere partially on Stafford but other places too. OLB Floyd signed a back loaded...

It seems like the cap doesn't matter anymore

They hadn't done anything yet, when I posted that. looks like they are going to wait on burning off a little of the cap. guess they think they have a chance to repeat. But my point still stands, if you are willing to use void years a lot and convert base into bonus you can basically overspend...

It seems like the cap doesn't matter anymore

I know the hawks did it last year but typically they rarely do it, same with void years. Recently I remembered reading something saying they didn't plan to in the future, believing in a pay as you go. Yes every team gets the same money long term the difference is, you can use void years and...

It seems like the cap doesn't matter anymore

The reason other teams are doing this and the Hawks don't is because the FO doesn't like to use void years. Something pretty much every other team uses a lot, same with converting base into bonus. Both push the cap hits down the road and spread them out over several years and since the cap goes...

    Von Miller to Bills

I was hoping the Rams would resign him but not at that price. The Bills are obviously trying to go all in this year to push them over the hump and win the SB, if it works it will be worth it, if not...

    Comp picks announced

You only get comp picks for players that become FA and then sign with another team. Then any FA you sign negates the ones you lost. So for example if the Hawks sign 3 FA and lose 4 FA they would only get 1 comp picks and where it would be would depend on contract with the new team.

    Comp picks announced

The 3rd the Rams got was because of one of the coaches or FO people they lost. They got a 3rd last year for the same reason. Otherwise this year they would have got a 4th and 3 6th for players. Not that it matters but thought I would point it out since normally comp picks come from players.

    DJ Reed to NY Jets

To early to tell what the comp picks will be. It is based on how much all players sign for, the top ones become 3rd rounders. At his contract I would guess a 4-6th depending on a lot of other factors.
