I'm looking at day 2/3 of the draft DE/EDGE/LB prospects, I see that DE-Anthony Nelson (Iowa) is now
entering the draft and he's one that I haven't heard much talk about, perhaps because he was a junior.
He seems to be regarded as a mid-round type pick, likely late round 3 thru late round 4 area. I haven't
seen any film yet but he has a couple of factors going for him, Size & length & some "fairly" good stats.
---DE-Anthony Nelson, Iowa, 6-7/271 (exact size, length & speed TBD at combine)
2018: 13-games, 45-tkls, 23-solo, 13.5-TFL's, 9.5-Sacks, 1-PBU, 6-QBH,
2017: 13-games, 41-tkls, 21-solo, 9.5-TFL,7.5-sacks, 4-PBU, 7-QBH, 2-FF, 1-BK
2015: 13-games, 33-tkls, 15-solo, 8.0-TFL, 6.0-sacks, 1-PBU, 3-QBH, 2-FF
Career: 39-games, 119-tkls, 69-solo, 31-TFL's, 23-sacks, 6-PBU, 16-QBH, 4-FF, 1-BK
Another EDGE type I've just started digging into, he would seem to have LEO size, but his speed and agility #'s will be better known after the combine, has some pretty impressive stats but I need further study.
---DE-Ben Banogu, TCU, 6-4/249
2018: 13-games, 57-tkls, 43-solo, 18.0-TFL, 8.5-Sacks, 8-QBH, 2-FF, 1-FR (for TD)
2017: 14-games, 49-tkls, 29-solo, 16.5-TFL, 8.5-sacks, 1-PBU, 7-QBH, 3-FF
2016: 13-games, 45-tkls, 25-solo, 14.5-TFL, 5.0-sacks, 2-PBU, 5-QBH, 2-FF
Career: 40-games, 151-tkls, 97-solo, 49-TFL, 22-sacks, 11-PBU, 14-QBH, 7-FF, 1-FR (for TD)
Some "SMALLER" DE/LB/EDGE from smaller (FBS) schools that have excellent 2018 stats, positions to be determined, likely LB, death backer or pass rush specialists - Probable later round/UDFA picks. I'm not sure why these guys don't get a little more ink, they are small school guys and undersized, I guess.
This first guy put up some "amazing" #'s, small school or not, why isn't he ever mentioned? The Rodney Dangerfield of this pre-season, so far. What else can this kid do to get noticed more?
---DE/OLB-Sutton Smith, No. Illinois, 6-1/237 (Note: Played DE, will surely move to LB/rover in NFL.)
2018: 14-games, 61-tkls, 43-solo, 26.5-TFL, 15.0-Sacks, 1-PBU, 9-QBH, 4-FF, 1-FR (for 83-yd TD), 2-BK
Also had 2 punt returns for 51-yds & 1-TD. (Unusual, speaks to athletic abilities, shiftyness & versatility?)
****--------> #1 in FBS in TFL's, & tied for #1 in FBS in Sacks,
2017: 13-games, 63-tkls, 43-solo, 29.5-TFL, 14.0-sacks, 3-PBU, 8-QBH, 3-FF, 2-FR (for 2-TD's)
****-------->#1 in FBS in TFL's, & #3 in FBS in sacks.
2016: 12-games (as backup) 15-tkls, 6-solo, 2-TFL, 1-sack, 3-QBH
Career: 39-games, 139-tkls, 92-solo, 58-TFL's, 30-sacks, 4-PBU, 20-QBH, 7-FF, 3-FR (for 3 TD's), 2-BK

---DE/OLB-Nate Harvey, E. Carolina, 6-1/225,
2018: 12-games, 63-tkls, 42-solo, 25.5-TFL's, 14.5-Sacks, 4-QBH, 2-FF
.....#2 in FBS in TFL's. #3 in FBS in Sacks, Note: Played DE, will surely have to move to LB in NFL.
speed & agility =?
---OLB-E. J. EJiya, N. Texas, 6-3/231 (Might be interesting for Seahawks if he has some speed.)
2018: 13-games, 121-tkls, 60-solo, 25.0-TFL's, 9.0-Sacks, 11-QBH, 1-FF, 1-BK
.....#3 in FBS in TFL's. Stats show that he is a busy guy & makes plays. speed & agility =??
---OLB/SS-Chase Hansen, Utah, 6-3/230, May have potential as a LB - or maybe back to SS ala: Kam?
2018: 13-games, 114-tkls, 70-solo, 22.0-TFL, 5,0-Sacks, 4-PBU, 1-QBH, 2-INT (1 for TD)
.....#5 in FBS in TFL's. Has played SS & rover, should also be good in pass coverage, speed & agility =???
