An interesting read on the chiefs and penalties.

Personally, I think media also has a part to play here. In politics, the freedom of press is meant to keep those in power transparent. Why don't reporters ask Mahomes, "Isn't it embarrassing to act so ridiculous to draw a penalty when it's not warranted? Doesn't it indicate you don't think you can win without drawing unfair penalties that your opponent doesn't get?"

Sure he'll answer with by redirecting, but if it's asked as often as it's deserved, he'll stop the embarrassing antics or he'll get a label that won't go away. Reporters should act like reporters, not fans.

But then the team will cut that media outlet off..not to mention if they are reporters for the networks that rely on viewers to watch football whichbthey millions for the rights that wouldn't go well for them or that reporter...protecting the integrity of the game is important otherwise it's wwf.

There were 2 calls that looked wrong to me...the Golden Tate 2.0 catch by Worthy that hit the ground with no clear control and the spot of the ball when Allen sneaked. These were two huge calls had they gone the Bills way the game is likely won by the Bills. As others mentioned the spot of ball for Buffalo were not generous at all during the game. It just shows how a couple calls one way or another can decide an outcome especially in a very close game. I think it's time we just sit back and watch greatness unfold with 3 in a row...oh and apparently someone else is getting a ring after the big game in the confetti shower....is some finally gonna catch Kelce? Personally I can't wait....no one wants to watch the Bills...cmon man...what would they draw really? Them not losing 5 super bowls probably legit saved lives last night...they should thank the Chi3fs for this as those mafia fans would be leaping out of buildings if they lost instead of pick up trucks...

If a reported asked that question his press pass would be revoked and lose his job.

Forget the penalties, the refs missed 2 important spots. The QB sneak was about as obvious a 1st down as you can get and of course the ref who spotted the ball short was looking at Allen's back.

This is what got me about the play...the ref coming in from the top of the screen had a much better view of where the ball was and by the looks of where he was going in to spot the ball, it would have been a first down. Even in the replay from his angle, it looked liked Allen had the first even before the Chiefs player blocked the camera view.

I was more pissed off about Buffalo and their ridiculous play calling on short yardage. Same play basically, over and over again. Meanwhile, KC would have Mahomes roll out and run or throw a short pass. Extremely predictable play calling.

In doing a deeper dive on the game in question, I think the favoritism & bad calls are on a SBXL level, maybe worse.
The bad spots, KC D lining up offsides, uncalled holding, ect. Once Allen tried to alert the refs of his reciever getting mugged by pointing with his left hand before throwing to the opposite side of the field. Like Holmgren said, I didn't think we were going to have to play the guys in the striped shirts too.
What has become of the NFL?

Now let's hear about all the calls they missed against the Bills. If you replay it and look with intent to find missed calls that would have HELPED the Chiefs you can easily find those too.

Microchip in the ball should have happened long ago. Too much traffic to really tell but the ref spotting the ball was not looking at the markers at any point when running to spot the ball.

You find what you are looking for. I found ref fixing for years when the Patriots were winning. I don't think I cried about it as much as the Chief haters do - though I might have.

Oh and going after Mahomes for things every other QB in the league does is just stupid.

I wanted to jump on the kc gets all the calls things. But in this game, nope. Refs were pretty solid. And they were letting BOTH teams play.

I don't really care about comparing the number of penalties or letting both teams play. When the game is on the line and an obvious 4th down conversion is spotted short, I call bs.

The ref had a direct line of sight and at every angle it looked obvious that he converted, and even if 1 angle in isolation wasn't enough it was more than easy to piece them together.
