Why not designate him as a TE and give him a 40's or 80's number so he doesn't have to keep reporting as eligible? I guess maybe he is our backup at both tackle spots, so maybe that has something to do with it. Can a TE line up as an ineligible position? He just plays a bunch of snaps at TE, so it makes sense to me to assign him an eligible number.
