I think the injury bug plays a factor here.

I had this as our only loss up to our bye week. Lions are fun to watch but they aren't playing as well as I expected them to be. This new defense is COMPLETELY different than the last 2 years when we played them. Goff isn't a scrambler so our D-line will get to him. They're running the ball pretty good as well as stopping the run. Their secondary isn't great so I expect Geno to light them up. We just have to stop the run like we did against the fins and we'll be fine. Macdonald's defense obliterated these guys last year. I see the Hawks doing the same thing.

Hawks - 31
Lions - 6
I'm changing my prediction. We have to many guys on defense injured who most likely won't play Monday. The Lions will run it down our throats the whole game. Murphey, Williams, Chenna, Baker, Boye are all injured and may not play. Murphey, Williams and Chenna are definitely out. Baker and Boye are questionable. It's to much to overcome.

Hawks - 23
Lions - 27

Week one against the Broncos: Me 27-16 Hawks--Actual 26-20 Hawks
Week two against the Patriots: Me 23-16 Hawks--Actual 23-20 Hawks
Week three against the Fins: Me 27-13 Hawks--Actual 24-3 Hawks

A little off, but 3-0 so far like many here.

This week perhaps a bit closer than expected: Lions 23 Hawks 20

That sounds perfect. As long as I don’t have to reciprocate, assuming we don’t nail those numbers.

Nope. Not at all. It would give me immense pleasure if you were perfectly right. You have my word.

Mr. Wishy Washy is back for the final time to go back to my original prediction of a Seahawks loss.

Hope I am wrong! 4-0 would be oh, so...SWEEEEET.

Count me in the group that sees injuries determining this game. I think the Lions' strong running game and the Hawks missing so many of their starting front 7 means that they are going to dominate the clock and wear down the defense. On the other side, I don't think the run game gets going with the Hawks' injuries, and they force us to be one-dimensional in the red zone, leading to too many FGs and not enough TDs.

Way too much pessimism in this thread. We won shootouts with our old crappy D and Waldron O. It's a new day - we have a new, elite-level D system that has been shown to stymie the Lions, and even with a crappy O-line we have a new, innovative (and better) O. We got this, nay-sayers!

Hawks 28 (it would be 35+ except for RG)
Pete Pumas 10 (it would be 3 except for some injuries)

<edit> corrected which side Bradford plays

Hoping for the best but injuries to key personnel is the difference in the outcome.

26-21 Hawks, our defense scored twice, our place kicker made three field goals but keeping up his reputation misses points after.
