Would rather have a 7-1 home record.

I watch road games on TV for free and spend hundreds of dollars attending games at CLink.
Home wins are far more fun than road wins. Home losses are far more painful than road losses. Give me a 7-1 home record and a 5-3 road record any day of the week.
