OK watched a few minutes of the interview, some shallow and artificial observations:
  1. Was the interview in a 'basic' motel? or an entry-level apartment? Floor AC cheap window cover and all.
  2. Earl was in his under-garment? He sure didn't dress up for his back in Seattle interview.
  3. He displayed some funny body movements, but he has bright eyes, and sounds like a clear mind.
  4. He sounded like he is at peace with himself.
1. He's visiting from Texas, so it was a hotel.
2. He's getting a lifetime achievement award, so he'll probably dress up for that. This interview is not why he's in Seattle.
3. That rocking back and forth is called stimming. It's commonly associated with autism or ADHD. If he's on the spectrum it may account for some of his socially tone-deaf behavior.
4. He does seem a lot less agitated. Hopefully the stress of NFL life and celebrity was the cause of his past issues and he doesn't have anything more serious going on with his health.

Thanks for the clarification. He was one of our best on the field, and he looked happy during this interview, and I am delighted about that.

I disagree. Kam was the most indispensable. Without kam, ET would not have been in position to exercise his raw talent and instincts. Go back and watch how often kam manipulated ET pre snap.
I agree. Kam, is the only guy that could play at all levels of the defense during the LOB days.

Literally all.

Extra run support on the defensive line, check!

Linebacker support, check!

Quarters coverage on the back end, check!

The man, was just everywhere and wreaks havoc all across the field!

Kam, was quintessential in all areas of the defense.

And a lot of rumors confirmed by former players was that Kam kept the LOB in check. Look to Sherm and Earl after Kam. They went to shit and had attitudes and what not

And most of those wouldn't show up on stats.

ive had time to watch the interview and these two things toffee stated previously definitely stand stand out/resonate. Id say he probably has come complications mental health wise, but on the other hand definitely not a camera/interview guy. Im very happy to see him seemingly in a better spot now in his life.. than say Brandon Browner currently. I also respect he gave Byron Maxwell, BB, Kam, Sherm credit for pushing him.

It wasn't the shit show I was expecting so that's a positive. I do wish him well and look forward to him in our RoH one day.

What Earl came across to me was real, well, OK, I couldn't help it here: "real" was not something I ever felt watching Russell Wilson. Earl, in his under-garment, being interviewed in a cheap motel, touched me.

I wish him well.

Man, back in the day when Earl patrolled the middle of the field any pass completed to the seams was a WTF moment to me. He just took all that away. That 2016 season fell part defensively after he got hurt.

Sometimes I wonder why we pit these LOB's against each other. They were a Bermuda Triangle, each contributing to what made the collective so great. Sherman, lockdown corner. Kam, total beast in and out of the box. Earl, we're never going to get beat over the top. They were perfect together.

For Seattle yes but Sherman made another Superbowl at San Francisco although past his prime and Brandon Browner won another superbowl at the Patriots. Although both have had off field issues since. Injury killed Kam. Thomas post Seattle career was sad though, he was still relatively young as well. Just imploded.

It's crazy the riches Seattle had in secondary on top of the above. Maxwell, Lane (pre injury), Thurmond, Shead, Trufant. They also cut Winfield in camp.

Biggest regret is we couldnt have had some of those guys post LOB rather than during or slightly before.

Had Russ not shown up I was going go get Earl on a jersey. I guess in retrospect not much difference in shelf life on either as a current player.
