I won't post a link as I really can't stand ESPN, I only still go there because old habits die hard. I figured you guys would get a kick out of our predicted record though.

No doubt. I prefer crap predictions when it comes to the Hawks. Please tell them how much they are gonna' suck.

Strange, when NFL puts us at #9 in the power rankings--again, arbitrary, right?--but I don't think I've ever seen the #9 team in the league without a winning record.

I was wondering the other day what our floor is and what our ceiling is as far as win/losses goes. As long as Russ is healthy i can't seeing us losing more then 8 games.

I wish Vegas would have set the over/under at 6, I’d be able to retire off the winnings.

In this case in particular the link should be posted, because the article isn't what the thread title claims it to be.

It is NOT a prediction.

They simulated the 2019 season 20,000 times, and picked ONE of those 20,000 simulations to write storylines around.

I think it's a dumb conceit for an article, but the takeaway is only that if you could play the 2019 season 20,000 times the Seahawks would end up at 6-10 in at least one of those 20,000 times.

I'm sure ever team randomly goes 6-10 in many more than one of those 20,000 simulations. I'm also sure the Seahawks go 16-0 in some of those simulations too -- just not in this random one they chose to write storylines around.

If it was a prediction they'd take the average wins for each team across those 20,000 simulations, but they're not doing that.

Yeah, because sub .500 records are so common with Russ under center. Oh wait...…..

Out of the 43 seasons of the team it had been possible to go 6-10 or worse 40 times.(16 game seasons.

It has only happened 8 times

1980, 1981, 1992, 1993, 1994, 2000, 2008, 2009

Leading Qb in those seasons were

1980 - Jim Zorn
1981 - Jim Zorn
1992 - Stan Gelbaugh
1993 - Rick Mirer
1994 - Rick Mirer
2000 - Jon Kitna
2008 - Seneca Wallace
2009 - Matt Hasselbeck

Listening to the former fat boy’s show on KJR, one of the big name national guys had Seattle getting to the NFC championship game against Philly, which he originally picked to win....and said after the Clowney deal that would be a toss up game. So there’s an opposite take.

Predictions, power rankings are all non-sensical bullshit, that you shouldn't take so seriously.
It’s fun to see at the end who was way wrong and point and laugh, and who was spot on, but it’s still pretty meaningless.

If it’s about “respect”, win the whole damn thing and the talking heads won’t have a choice in the matter.

I just turned on ESPN Radio over lunch to see if they were talking NFL. Sure enough, they had a Cowboys insider on (shocking) to talk about the Zeke extension. He was then making arguments for this being Dallas’ year. He said who else does Dallas have to worry about in the NFC besides Chicago, Philly, New Orleans And the Rams and how they matchup well with those 4 teams. And the host seemed to agree with him

Got a good chuckle out of it. I guess we shouldn’t even suit up this year. It will just be the exact same teams as last year. Because as we all know, that’s always how it goes!

It was supposed to be their "analytics" prediction. They should fire what ever compnay that sold them the program they used. The records are all really bad, they were all near .500

Not going to have a losing season IMO. They corrected any weakness you might have had at pass rush . Russ always will keep you in games

Someone predicted four wins last year, and we won 10. Guess this means we’ll win 12 this year. [emoji106]

How was it supposed to be their "analytics" prediction when it wasn't even supposed to be a prediction at all?
