One upside to this mess is atleast the real patch is the best looking superbowl patch of all time. Imagine if we won super bowl XLV or XLVI, we would be looking for this crap :

My favorite find on eBay today. Love the shit-tastic SB patch on the right breast and Captain patch on the left breast with 3 stars. Good God, some people don't even try.

Yeah I saw this and couldn't stop laughing. Anyone know the size difference between the youth SB Patch and the adults?? Or if there is even a size difference with the patch? If not probably my cheapest route I could go, while using the excuse to the wife I'm getting out son a new jersey lol.

The metallic patch isn't bad at all. Very close to the ones on the sweatless jackets.

Been thinking about just how impossible it might be to get the heat sealed patches off of the jerseys.

I know they're not correct, but there is one or two embroidered patches over on fleaBay that are pretty well done. They have a high (tight) stitch count, and detailed shading. Might pick up a few of those for plan 'B'

Perhaps when the donkey game day jerseys go down in price even more, we can get some to cut off and use the jersey to wash our cars or something.

So far, these are the nicest "civilian" versions out there I've seen...If we can just find the patches then we can just sew them on to whatever custom jerseys we want.

I just got an email, my custom has shipped. Guess they don't have an issue putting "Super Bowl" on one. Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky and it will come with the patch on it.
Yea right, I know.
Here's another pic in case you missed it. Swwweeeeet:)

Nice pmedic. I just went for an elit lynch. It hits a soft spot for the buffalo fans in yyz and BUf.

Yeah I think we are screwed with the chromaflex patches...unless we know someone that works there in fort collins, colorado!
lol kinda funny that they are made so close to Denver...

Looks like even all the Nike Silver speed collection wont have the official patches either.
This guy bought one of the sweatless jackets in NYC around the SuperBowl...

Bid is at 1,000.00 BTW

Anyways, check out his pics. Looks like the normal patch.

This picture is from my Seahawks sweatless jacket. Same as the broncos posted above.

The jackets are dark charcoal grey (light black?) with the shoulders and hood a black pleather type material

Not the same patch. If you zoom in on it, it's very clear (to me any way) that there is no texture or ridges to this patch. This one almost looks as though it's printed on twill and then sewn on. I could be wrong about that part but it IS NOT the same patch that is on either the players jersey or the jerseys we can buy.
Stay tuned and I'll try to make a side by side.

And this is a side by side of the patch from the warm ups and the players on field patch.
I think its fairly obvious the patch on the warm ups is not the same as either of the jersey patches.

Agreed. The one you have is the one I want to get my hands on...It's the only one (besides the one we all covet the most) that has the detail and ridge work.

I didn't mean to imply that the Sweatless Media Day jacket's patch was the same as the on field patches. It is by far very different. Single layer that I'm guessing is silver material with a black silk screen over the patch to bring out the details.

I posted a close up picture of the patch to show what other patches Nike is/was using.

I also have one more official patch Nike used on a parka type jacket that I haven't seen used elsewere. Its just another embroidered one.

This is the newest patch used on a parka/cold weather type jacket

what is the reason behind some having the NFL on the trophy and others do not.

it just does not make sense [the chewbaca defence perhaps explains???]

As far as the plastic/rubberized ones go. They are called chromaflex by the way. The difference is this. The one you see that has the NFL logo on the Lombardi, is the players on field patch. The one that does not have the NFL logo on the Lombardi is the official patch being put on the "for sale to public" jerseys.
One positive aspect of this would be that it would help identify a fake "game worn" jersey, being purchased in the after market.

Even if they offered the white limited jersey with the "fake" patch (on the correct side), I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

nflshop just keeps restocking the blue game jerseys with the patch on the wrong side. It's maddening, really.
