We have a family friend who played in the NFL at LB and (primarily) special teams for several years. He mentioned to me a week or so ago that a team has to win 2 of 3 phases of the game to win consistently. It can be offense and defense, offense and teams, or defense and teams, but it takes at least 2.
We didn't win 2 of 3 today, and it cost us. The non-fake punt debacle, not being able to stop Hill, etc. 32 points should have been enough to win.
