More Bobo, less other stuff
Well said. This is a fair post. As for the moves, i'm not sure what else they could have done. They replaced some players who wanted to be overpaid for cheaper options. It's true it might not be anything more than lateral moves or worse, but resigning those other players wasn't going to make a difference either. At least now they have a chance to draft some interior OLinemen. Yeah there might be some growing pains for a season or two waiting for them to develop, but what is the alternative? I also would have liked to grab a stud OG in FA, but it didn't happen (i'm not even sure who was available truthfully), so we're here for now.
The only problem with Colston is he's not much of a blocker. I think they want someone who is good at both catching and blocking. If Warren were to fall to them I can see them running the card to the commissioner.
Seahawks predicted to draft 6'5, 11-TD superstar talent for Sam Darnold
"The Seahawks might have bigger needs, but the value is just too great to pass up Loveland at No. 18.," Jeremiah wrote. "The former Michigan tight end joins Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp to give Sam Darnold an intriguing group of pass catchers."
Loveland tallied 56 catches for 582 yards and five touchdowns last season. His best collegiate campaign came in 2023, when he posted a career-best 649 yards during Michigan's national title season.
While the numbers might not scream superstar talent, the tape does.
Loveland is an elite playmaker who displays top-notch athleticism and ability after the catch, which is particularly impressive considering his size (6-foot-5), which makes him an ideal red-zone target, also.
As if all that wasn't attractive enough, Loveland can also hold his own as a blocker, giving him a complete skill set that can make him a top talent at the position in the NFL.
"Bobo smashes a 3-2 breaking ball into the gap........he is heading for third!!!!!!!"We have Bobo, we're going to the World Series.
