Sounds like Cowboys are going to release him. Big tackle, played on a good Cowboy's line and is only 28.

He's really good, when healthy. Definitely among the best right tackles. And has a real mean streak. But he's more of a mauler than a mover. I'm not sure that fits moving to a more Rams-esque line.

He had some injuries last year, and in his first couple of years. But he played 15 or 16 games in 2017, 2018, 2019.

Big picture.. why would you sign a 28 year old player if you are just starting a full rebuild?

Good question.

He's not a running back. 28 can be young for offensive linemen. Duane Brown is 36, Andrew Whitworth just retired at 40. And you can find examples of these guys playing effectively into their mid-30s all over.

And you can reset the roster in a couple of years. They've done it once.

we just signed a 30 year old safety
