How about the Kirby thing few days ago? He wanted out of the game. Yet another example of Scotty not knowing his players. He just throws them out there like they're action figures.

Petey can't read an offense. Scotty can't read his pitchers.
You are wrong. Kirby came across like a spoiled player who wanted to point the blame elsewhere. Kirby did not ask to be removed and he always said he wants to pitch. So now when he blows it, he wanted out but didnt say it?

It just shows a person's agenda when they blame the manager for a team not scoring 1 run with bases loaded and 0 outs.

The Mariners in a nutshell, for decades. Can't get ONE F'ING RUN with bases loaded and no outs. Pitching has been bad sure. But there ZERO excuse for not winning that game.
It's no secret I'm not a Servais fan. But, no way in hell that loss is on him. The players on the field f'ing choked. AGAIN.

You guys are focusing on one game too much. Why is not scoring with bases loaded no out so common with this coaching staff? Why so many strikeouts? You guys act like this is new. This has been going on for quite some time now. Baseball is THE sport where the head of the team has the most input. That's why they call them managers not head coach. Baseball has an element to it unique to other sports. If a baseball team is this bad with bases loaded no out and 2nd most strikeouts in the league I promise you it's not just the players.

Chapow, absolutely yes it is true a manager has input on when to swing or not and how to approach an at-bat. All the best managers in the game will chime in at times and tell his batters what to do. Not every time, but it happens. SS and his staff just throw guys out there and sit back and watch. That's not how World Series' are won.

Decent first inning, though they shouldn't have sent France home there. He's not that fast. Shouldn't take the 3d out at the late like that.

Hopefully, they keep it going. Sandoval is that kind of off-speed, breaking ball, junk throwing pitcher the have given them fits this year. With him you have to back off on the agression a notch and let the off speed shit come to them.

They look energized tonight. Maybe they are going to come out of the slump? I really hope so, even Woo is pitching well tonight. If I jynx it I am sorry lol. I'm really hoping this is what gets them back on track!

Good to see them tack on runs in the 4th. Lord knows our bullpan can't be trusted with a close lead right now.

Huh. Sounds like this coaching staff is doing an awfully good job managing/coaching with the bases loaded.

Baseball's a weird game. If you fail 70 percent of the time as a batter, you're doing great. It makes it hard to see success when you see so much failure.

They are also 11th in home runs. Their offense isn't trash. Just need better late game situational hitting and managing.

Pretty close to a must win tomorrow since the next series is going to be incredibly tough going up against one of the best teams in baseball in the Dodgers.

Nice to get a comfortable win for sure. Now to win the series. Meanwhile, some very unlikely help from a crap A's team. They just got done knocking off the ASStros on back to back nights, at Houston. Hilarious.
Can't wait to get down to the stadium today.
