I think the guy has some serious anxiety issues, when he is surrounded by cameras and mics. He looks like me when a migraine hits at one point when he's not saying anything. I think it's more than just being a dick to the media (which is what I'd be answering the same stupid questions over and over).

Part of me thinks this is hilarious and part of me thinks he's just being a douche. I love the kid, so I won't get one who gets bent out of shape, but maybe some day he gives them SOMETHING. if not, "I'm thankful" for all the quote ambles from a guy who says nothing.

That was a bit frightening. Don't think he was "faking" that or being a "douche."

The game thread mentioned that he was vomiting on the sideline. I can't imagine the pain he's going through after a game like this.

He was definitely vomiting. I was watching it in Africa, and it is a direct feed with no commercials, so it shows the cameras looking around at stuff and then the networks decide what to show when it goes live again.

They didn't show the vomit, but mentioned that he was sick.

The guy just doesn't want to talk to them...

What else do you want?

There's no reading into this.

My only question is why does the media continue to put him through this crap?

He's clearly uncomfortable, he's not going to change what he's saying. Give him a break and lay off.

This really shows the extent that he doesn't want to talk to the media. I don't think in anyway that he is trying to be a douche. He really looked bothered and as someone else said, going through a lot of anxiety. So many players want to be in front of the camera, I don't get why they hammer the ones that don't. Last year at the Super Bowl I thought it was a bit of a game but it should be obvious to anyone now that it isn't. He truly has been a great person in Seattle. He has an odd way of doing things but I've never seen a guy that plays harder when he is on the field than Lynch. I've never heard a teammate say a negative word about him. He might make a lot of money but the media needs to back off, he puts in his work day and should be able to go home like the rest of us do at the end of our day.
On another note, he walked up to a very little girl at the game today and gave her his shoes. I had a friend who was sitting next to her that posted it earlier. We also have the story from earlier this year when he returned a guys wallet even though it was out of his way.
This guy has given us so much more than Shaun Alexander ever did (not a knock on Alexander). Lynch might be my favorite Seahawk ever!

All I gotta do is point to his interview during the super bowl where Mike Rob stepped in, watch lynch in that, he looks exactly how I do in social settings, just straight nervous.

Some ESPN analyst was making a big fuss about this after the game and that kinda upset me. It is clear as day that Marshawn is very nervous when numerous cameras are shoved in his face.

I wonder if he could be diagnosed with a social anxiety disorder and whether the league would exempt him from having to do interviews he isn't comfortable doing.

He could change it to "I'm just thinking about next week," and he wouldn't be substantially different than a lot of players.

I wish the media would stop with this bullshit routine every week and leave the man alone, like there aren't enough other guys in the locker room who love talking who they could point their cameras at.

I agree. Not a douche. Dude looks anxious and very uncomfortable. He just wants the interview to be over.

Agreed. It's obvious that he's uncomfortable with all the cameras shoved in his face, and it's quite apparent that the reporters realize it as well. They're just making themselves look like bullies when they pull this stuff. Why are they so enamored with him? They know he's not going to say anything substantial. So the only logical explanation is that they just want to see him squirm. Shame on all of them....bunch of pricks.

For sure. Even Belecheat has been known to repeat the same answer.

Look, I'm not sure why there is still debate over what he is feeling and why the non interviews, but it is fairly clear when you pay attention.

Marshawn has said it before; he was brought up on and coached up on a very well-known adage that few have the discipline to stick with: Actions speak louder than words.

I can remember my grandfather telling us as very young kids that men who boast or men that talk about what the are going to do, seldom succeed, and are rarely respected. It is the man who keeps his mouth shut and just does it, that earns reward, and the respect.

Put up or shut up. Show me don't tell me. Make it happen don't let it happen. Whatever is your way of saying it is it still means the same thing, and Marshawn takes it literally, follows it religiously, and simply can't believe others don't understand it. For him it's all about that action.

Now, the problem with all of that, is that most of the world simply cannot just hand the beer to their friend and jump off the cliff into the water below without saying "watch this!" first.

If Lynch decide to retire at the end of the year, this kind of BS is near the top of the list of reasons why

They need to leave him alone. Or accept that he is not going to do what they want him too. They will lose. He will win at this game. I love the gold vest.
