I was at the game last night, seeing Julio run out those grounders to 1st was inspirational, the guy was taking nothing for granted. The top of the order is producing and they are solid in the field. I don't care who they are playing. Every other winning team in the AL West is sharing those opponents and besides, I seem to remember a sweep of the Stro's the last series they were here. If the Mariners take care of business now and hit that September stretch at 500 or even a hair better? They will be in a rare status for a Seattle club in October.
I was at the game too, I was surprised by the turnout for a Monday night. I got their about a half hour early to get the free jersey giveaway, only to find out they ran out about an hour before the game. While I was dissapointed, I was impressed by 10K fans showing up an hour early on a Monday night against a bad team with the weather not being great.

I was wondering that watching on TV. Seemed like a huge crowd for a Monday. I've been to so many weeknight games when it's maybe 10 thousand. If you win, people come out.

Yeah, I thought the same thing, I was 40 minutes early. I ROYALLY messed up and grabbed a free parking spot on the top level of the T-Mobile garage. I was going to hang out with my daughter and her boyfriend after the game (he is tech crew for Mariners/Seahawks) so I figured the lot would be near empty when I got out there. Monday night, the A's... NOPE, they announced 37k and sure as turd my car wasn't going anywhere a full hour after the game. I never use that garage but damn, it was free.

Not sure Weaver would have been my go to choice here. He has not been good this year. Just putting my manager pants on, I would have gone with Isaiah Campbell, who kind of projects as a starter more than a reliever.

Also, the Mariners are #4 on the MLB.com power rankings, behind only the Orioles in the AL:

You have to be really bad to make the A’s offense look this good. I don’t complain much about Servais, but no idea why he chose our worst reliever to start this game.
