No, Wilson will not be traded. If it ever happens it will be next year.
I agree. The dead cap hit would be too big this year.

But next year, if Pete continues to handcuff Russ, Waldon, and the offense in general, and they don't address the OL issues among other things, I could easily see Russ asking or demanding a trade, and he would be justified in doing so.

Does Russ have anything in his contract that gives him veto power over a trade? I would think he'd balk at going to the only places we might consider sending him, ones with high potential / young QBs (Houston, Jacksonville)

"If you are looking for the right time to shift to a new QB, well, 2 stud WRs, Stud Left tackle and a coveted new offensive coordinator and run game coach might provide a soft landing for a new QB. Just saying."

Stud left tackle? An aging left tackle who could fall off the cliff anytime.
Coveted O coordinator? Coveted, by whom other than the Seahawks and maybe the Rams?
This may be a soft landing but the "new" QB has to have "pro" talent as well, and THAT is a rare commodity.
There are perpetually 2 dozen NFL teams that constantly wallow in mediocrity year after year and until Wilson came we were one of them. The chances, of getting a premier QB to replace Russ are slim.

"IF" Russ is to be traded, first he must sign off on that part (which is the no trade clause) giving Russ the say in which team he is traded too.

Then the trade deal will be made. That is "IF" all parties are in full agreement.

Three parties can be very difficult sometimes.

It’s destined to be a difficult process.

Wilson, publicly aired out his frustrations with management:

1. Wants to be part of hiring process/player personnel.
2. Practically threw his entire offensive lineman for his entire career under the bus
3. Came across as somewhat separating himself from the Seahawks

These comments are not made just Willy nilly, Wilson has planned to say this when he throws in the exact number of sacks he’s taken.

No team is going to want to give a kings ransom for Wilson knowing Wilson just verbally abused Seattle. And Seattle isn’t going to move him without getting a kings ransom in return. Destined to be ongoing.

Gonna be a very interesting off-season!

By the time you trade him next season, his value will be less than what it was this season.
