Actually, they did that with the Dunbar signing. His contract was heavily performance-based with the majority being gameday bonuses (250k per game, I believe). I agree those types of contracts are the best option, but injuries are always going to be part of the game. Seahawks have not had too bad of luck this year, and are actually above average healthy going into the playoffs.
Glad we aren't in the 49ers situation, or in the situation we've been in the last few years.
At least we have running backs this year.
