I love Walker as a #1 but it wouldn’t hurt to have a guy who specializes in what Walker isn’t great at.

FFS, what has become of this fanbase? Wow

9 games in: Coach Mike sucks. Trade DK. Walker sucks. Grubb sucks. JS sucks. Everything sucks. All the things.

We're not dead in the water yet. Wading ankle deep, but not dead. If we can have some sort of miracle over the bye week and finish strong we could still pull a playoff spot out of the hat. But we MUST win all of our 4 remaining divisional games.

Yep, not a playoff team, as expected. But it's a process, even if it makes up wanna' scream..........and drink..........often.

Omg, yesterday at the game. I was losing my mind. "You guys are driving me f'ing crazy"

Often. And often with a growl.

Walker is great for what he is. But he isn't a "Move-the-Pile" type of guy. Lots of teams have these types of RBs. Sure, some have better OLs to run behind. But when a RB and a LB meet in the hole, these types of guys can usually knock the LB back a yard or two, and can run through DT arm-tackles. Walker is great against DBs, and in open space where he can handle LBs better than he can in the hole.

Examples might be James Conner of AZ, Najee Harris of Pitt, Tyler Algeier of Atl, Jordan Mason of SF, David Montgomery of Det. Only Harris was a 1st round pick. Others were 3rds, 5ths, and UDFAs.

That's not even getting into big-money, high-pick backs like Derrick Henry, Saquon Barkley, Josh Jacobs, Jonathan Taylor, Bijian Robinson, and a couple other guys like that. Hawks had the chance to draft Jonathan Taylor in the 2nd but drafted LB Jordyn Brooks instead. Couldn't believe Hawks passed on him. SF got Mason as an UDFA.

Maybe Charbs could be that guy, but he's not much of a homerun threat the way a lot of the guys I listed are. Kenny Mac? Haven't seen enough to draw any conclusions.

The Hawks could have put more effort into having a stronger RB-by-committee stable of RBs with a range of skill sets. It feels like we're missing that guy between K9 and Charbs who can come in and contribute and be a threat on the ground, especially when K9 or Charbs is injured. Seems like K9 has been nicked up a lot. Makes me miss 7th-rounder Chris Carson.
