I normally do not like Mike Salk. He's OK... but I feel like he's just stealing the jobs of other ESPN Seattle employees.

But when he said he predicted Raashad Penny would have 100 yards but he said Rashaad would have needed 75 carries to reach 100 yards I LOST IT.

That's funny as hell, Mike gained a little respect on that one lmfao.

it was around 39:20 when this hilarious conversation started.

With a career 5.0 YPC? Hm, okay. One would think the problem is actually getting Rashaad 75 healthy carries rather than the expected output.

Sounds like Mike has found his target audience.

How are Salk's ratings since coming back? I wouldn't know as I don't listen to him.

So you think Raashad Penny should not be laughed at as one of the worst first round picks ever???

Explain please... I'm all ears.

He has 840 rushing yards in 4 seasons!

Nice draft pick!???

A MUCH LOWER DRAFT PICK ALVIN KAMARA IS AVERAGING ALMOST MORE RUSHING YARDS PER SEASON THAN RASHAAD HAS HAD IN HIS ENTIRE CAREER???

Rashaad Penny (our first round pick #27) has 998 TOTAL YARDS (Rushing + Receptions) in 4 seasons...

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PennRa00.htm

Alvin Kamara (their third round pick #67) has 6824 TOTAL YARDS (Rushing + Receptions) in 5 seasons...

Sometimes I can't tell if people really believe their spiteful no brain comments or if they are just in denial...

I don't mean to make you sound stupid but after what you said it can't be helped...

You do realize Rashaad Penny has 169 rush attempts in his entire career???

That's like 11 per game for 1 season... but we've had him for 4 SEASONS???

Marshawn Lynch (a real running back) has 2,453 rush attempts in his career.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LyncMa00.htm

That's 14.5 TIMES MORE RUSHING ATTEMPTS THAN RASHAAD PENNY!

To defend Rashaad on his average yards per attempt WHEN HE HASN'T EVEN HAD ENOUGH ATTEMPTS FOR 1 legit good Running Back's Season...

Part of being a Running Back is being available... if you are a glass barbie doll like Rashaad Penny I have no interest in you ever joining my team to begin with. All you are doing is wasting a roster spot and salary.

If you want to piggy back off of Rashaad's embarrassingly small sample size and pretend he's good SHAME ON YOU!

Everyone agrees that Penny hasn't lived up to his expectations or that of someone drafted in the first round. He's not had good luck when it comes to staying on the field. No one could have predicted that he would be injured this much during draft day.

While Chubb and others are doing better in their career and on their respective teams so far, it doesn't mean they would have that same success with the Seahawks. There are many factors that go into having a successful running game. Cleveland spends the most $$ in the NFL on their OL. They have been focusing on OL for considerable amount of time. As evidenced by the success of Hunt and D'Ernest Johnson. Anyone that runs behind that line has had put up good to great numbers.

Browns have the #1 ranked OL in the NFL - https://www.lineups.com/articles/nfl-offensive-line-rankings

"The Browns’ OL payroll is $53,426,790 per Spotrac’s latest update. That’s a little over $700,000 more than the Jacksonville Jaguars have in cap commitments for their O-line in 2021. The Indianapolis Colts are the only other team over $50 million.

Here’s how the cap hits for 2021 break down with the starting five:

RT Jack Conklin – $13 million

RG Wyatt Teller – $2.183 million

C JC Tretter – $11.075 million

LG Joel Bitonio – $10 million

LT Jedrick Wills – $4.478 million

Top reserve Chris Hubbard, who can play either guard or tackle, costs $4.96 million against the cap."

Full article - https://brownswire.usatoday.com/202...-expensive-offensive-line-in-the-nfl-in-2021/

The Seahawks have spent around $26.2M on their OL according to Spotrac - https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/seattle-seahawks/positional/offensive-line/2021/full-cap/

The situation and the team one lands with, also determines how successful one may be in their career too. Chubb landed in a great situation. Penny not so much. Credit to Chubb as he's turned out to be a tremendous back and relatively injury free. Unfortunately not the case of Rashaad Penny. Hopefully he can find a way to turn that around.

I didn't say it was a nice draft pick. At all. Anywhere.
