Agreed. Will they ever learn? I have no idea what BJ looks like these days, but he was fairly exciting to watch in pre-season a couple years ago.

Silvers is not good. His decision making and accuracy are very poor.
He could have walked for a first down on the first drive, and he missed badly on 3rd down on the last drive.

  • If we had any offense at all, we'd be leading this league. When it gets into impossible to win time, throw in Daniels just to have a look. Why not?

  • Silvers still not good. You have nothing to lose by putting BJ in.

Generally speaking bullheaded stubbornness is the worst trait you can have as a coach and is a coach killer.

If something isn’t working don’t keep doing do it, try something different. What’s the worst that can happen, BJ is as bad as Silvers?

Yeah that was a brain dead play by them, he could have cartwheeled into to end zone.

Looked better. Zorn should have gone for it 4th and one. RO keeper with BJ would have gotten the first down.

Looks like a totally different offense. He actually has touch on his passes and is a running threat.
Looks like him coming in lit a fire under the offensive line as well. They are blocking better.

  • Why not go for 1 there, get within a field goal? Or 2 would make more sense. Zorn not a good coach. IMO. Bad at math.

Yep. BJ brings another dimension to the offense.
This change should have been made 2 weeks ago, but I’m happy they finally made it.
The games with Silvers in were almost becoming unwatchable. BJ brings an excitement to the game.

  • Lots of miscommunication from Zorn to his offense on the play calls there. Obvious offensive holding call didn’t help either.

  • SO I blame Zorn he wasted a down with his n ability to get the play in and then sets BJ up with a 3rd and long

It wasnt a good pass. BJ kept them in the game. If Silvers was still in there Seattle would still only have a FG.

Yep. I don't want to see Silvers ever again. Our offense became a semblance of dynamic the second he entered the game. Even if we don't win, which is probably the case here. Just a bummer we didn't see him start. We could have won.

  • Hey, it happens. Remember the 2014 NFC Championship game? Russ threw 4 and still won it. BJ looked good for the most part, and is the best bet for the Dragons future this season. He BETTER start next week if we stand a chance.

  • Defense played well, but was on the field the whole first half and was gassed by the 4th qtr.
Got hope though with BJ D as the QB. Nothing is worse as a football fan as seeing an inept dead
In the water offense. That’s what the Dragons has had for 3.5 games. The 2nd half today offensively gave me reason to keep watching.

Agreed but the question is if Zorn gets the previous play in on time and correctly are we even in 3d and long for that to happen?

Yeah I don’t get it. It was plain as day and common sense IMHO.

Coaches are some of the most stubborn creatures to walk the earth, and a lot of the time they let their egos get the best of them and it takes a lot for them to admit their original decisions are wrong.

I have a relative that’s a senior in highschool, plays and starts in 3 varsity sports so I go to a ton of games. You see so many boneheaded mistakes by coaches, both his and opponent coaches, so it happens at all levels. You expect it at the highschool level (as most of those coaches are underpaid volunteers) that’s why it’s frustrating to see it still happening at the pro/semi-pro level as often as we do.

No one is perfect, coaching isn’t an easy job, and it’s easy for us to cherry pick things from our couches.... just wish the obvious things would be seen and “corrected” sooner.

Brock Huard would be a better coach. He would have started BJ sooner and gone for it on some of those 4th downs they needed.

Zorn is not a good head coach. He might be a good assistant or qb coach.

  • I did not watch the game as BT Sport and ESPN Europe decided that College Basketball and a programme about the Fury fight, flogging a dead horse was more important.

I am following the Dragons as they are a team based in Seattle with Seahawks involvement. Saying that if there are the continued coaching blunders, I will have to re consider my interest.

The Dragons have a HC of the calibre that in the first game he was covering his mouth when play calling forgetting that it was being broadcast anyway.

Watching other games the Dragons are not the only ones making coaching and playing boo-boos.
