They're gonna nail pick #9, rebuild the defense, and make the playoffs on the back of a run-centric offense, and we'll finally be able to post opinions again without Mr. Ahh jumping down our asses.

Get ready. The Renaissance starts today.

He was leaving in 2 years for no compensation, anyway. As much as it sucks, at least we got something in return. The key question going forward, can we make intelligent use of the new assets.

May as well trade DK and Locket. We are basically throwing in the towel here and admitting we have no plan to be competitive in the near future in the NFC west.

I wonder how this will play in the locker room? Like his style or not RW was a leader.

Oh well. At least this team will be bad and therefore fun to play in Madden franchise.

wasnt sure how i would feel about this when the talk was swhirling but now that it happens im very sad. feels like a death. they need to hit big on a quarterback in the draft but that wont happen this year so next year maybe. just feels like we wont get to enjoy football for quite a few years. and once the teams falls apart that means a new coach, which i think has been needed for years, but if they dont hit on the new hire that sets the organization back another few years. might be a tough stretch here.

I'm honestly surprised Jody was on board to keep Pete if we're trading Russ. Seemed like an all or nothing clean-house deal but I guess not.

I said this was going to happen. I said this team will be having some down seasons for a while and all the names came at me. Said I was a troll and all of that. But it's all good. Anyway...welcome to the land of rebuilding. This is going to be very interesting depending on what they get for him. Two 1st I'm sure. Sucks that a 1st has to go to the jets...

Yep.

Our division is too tough to ditch your starting QB and still expect to be relevant. This is a move you make if you've resigned to be out of it for a few years.

Hate to see this team finally giving up. Seems like they've been hanging around swinging for a while now.

Probably for the best long term.

A head over heart type decision. Although cognitive faculties completely absent in keeping PC around.

Wish him well.

Drew Lock is clearly a bridge or even a back up. No way is he the long term answer, let's not go crazy here.

Frankly have expected this for some while although it appears to potentially be a be a huge mistake. which will likely result in schneider getting canned along with Carroll. I'm frankly a bit numbed by this news.

The team will now have loads of cap room and should be able to really strengthen up their D.

Unbelievable. Truly an end to an era. They better be getting a king's ransom for him. Regardless, we can likely kiss the playoffs goodbye for the next several years. Hope I am wrong about that but I feel sick to my stomach.

You'll get used to being at the bottom of the division... know anyone interested in a late 30's something former MVP with a huge cap hit?

Certainly an upgrade over Drew Lock!

KJR just said it was for 3 players, 2 first rounders, 2 second rounders, a 5th and we are sending a 4th.

I actually feel pretty good about this. Used to love Wilson but recently the guy has been insufferable.

If nothing else it ends this Ross and Rachel, will they won't they, trade shenanigans that poison every off season.

Per Glazer.

The trade is for three players (one being Drew Lock) and two first rounders and two second rounders and a fifth for Russell Wilson and a fourth

So we give up 2 firsts to get Adams, then get 2 back plus a little to get rid of a top 5 QB?? Pathetic!! And I don't trust Pete and John to make any better choice than the McDowells and Ifedi's of the world either.
