Pick #58 Ethan Pocic, OL, LSU

For the record I don't love this pick, and I don't think Britt is a total stud. That being said, look how eerily similar their measurables and combine performances were, except Pocic grades quite a bit higher: Britt Grade 5.18, pick #64 http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/jus ...

The good news about this draft

Agree that the last 4 drafts have been pretty lean, but you also have to consider that those draftees were trying to crack solid, Super Bowl winning/perennial playoff rosters. For example, Frank Clark playing behind Bennett/Avril last year: Avril: Snaps-832 TFL-1 Sacks-11.5...

The good news about this draft

I understand some of the negativity/head scratching over many of the picks, but don't understand why people aren't pumped about Malik McDowell? Tons of talent with some great film. Knocks on him are mostly having to do with lack of effort. Two things: he won't play all 4 downs with the Hawks...

Russell needs to lose weight for next year

WOW. It's definitely fair to question some of his in game performance: not throwing to Jimmy, staring down receivers, hesitance to throw to the middle of the field, etc.. To question Russell's commitment is beyond laughable. The same guy that woke up every 3 hours for treatment? The same guy who...

So we now have 2 players better than wilson

Don't forget about Tanner McEvoy and his 118.8 career passer rating. Both he and Baldwin(158.3) are on pace to be the highest rated passers in NFL history :D

No, going for a 2pt conversion wasn't a bad decision

The million dollar question: Would Belichick have gone for 2 had the Patriots scored on that last drive with the Seahawks up 7? Given how well Seattle's "D" was playing, and how the coin toss can skew the chances of success in OT, is it out of the realm of possibility? If not, then we also need...

    Defense last two weeks

Not to mention Mike Morgan. Not sure why KPL only played special teams, but Croyle was not good. I'm guessing we go linebacker early in the 2017 draft.

Hugh Millen sounding off this Morning

You know what else wins the Hawks that game? If Ryan gets the hold down and Hauschka makes the kick before halftime, and then makes a pretty easy kick to win the game.

    Investing in O-Line

I get frustrated with our O line too, but more than any other position I feel like the market drives prices up, which drives ROI down. Shown below are the cap numbers for some of the players we let walk, or didn't lock up with a second contract. Carpenter: $3.15 mill. Is he better than...

    Investing in O-Line

As far as "paying the best talent" goes I think it's obvious that their strategy is to try to win without paying their O-line, look no further than us not resigning guys after their rookie deals are up. My main point is our offense would be much more successful and consistent spending $ on the...

    One thing is very clear

I can't imagine what a PR nightmare it would have been had the Hawks drafted Collins, and yes that stuff matters. When a soul-less vulture like Jerry Jones wouldn't even draft him, that pretty much tells you all you need to know.....

Christine Michael reverting to old habits.

A couple times a game he gets out over his skis and loses his footing, and I don't think Russell is a big fan of the mental mistakes. If/when Rawls, Prosise, and AC are all 100% healthy I could see Michael getting cut again this year. I hope he figures things out quickly.

RB Giavanni Ruffin announces signing/camp invite w/ Seahawks

Inspiring video, but I think he's a longshot at best. His speed/footwork looks impressive, but imagine what Christine Michael would look like doing the exact same drills. I wish him luck regardless....

    Seahawks re-signing Brandon Browner

Even at his best, I've never been a big Browner fan. Too many stupid penalties, and I'll never be able to forget how terrible he was down the stretch of the Divisional Playoff Game at Atlanta in 2013 (2012 season). That being said, I don't mind the move. Pete doesn't seem to play people for...

How much $$ do we really save cutting Lynch?

Dude it's too early in the morning! I literally choked on my coffee cracking up when I read that. Said in a voice trailing off ".........freedom costs a buck o' five.........." #comeoneverybodywe'vegotquiltin'todo

    Finish This Statement:

Still open. Kam's holdout screwed us, and 3 of our 4 losses are against undefeated teams. We'll dump some high dollar aging players next year, and hopefully shore up our O-line. Russell definitely has his weaknesses, but taking age and character into consideration, there are only a few other QBs...

    D's Gone Soft.

Simple question: If Kam doesn't hold out and is in camp with the rest of the LOB, do we have the communication breakdowns/blown assignments like yesterday? Do we lose the Rams game? That's what's frustrating, I honestly think we'd be 4-1 if he hadn't held out....

Who have the Bengals played this season?

As far as the whole "they are going to blow us out" comments in other threads, fun fact: The last time the Hawks had a double digit loss was on November 6, 2011. Getting blown out is very unlikely, but I think we're definitely going to have to get some breaks/bounces to pull out a win.

    The O-Line

Yep, I'm over the whole "we can turn any SPARQy DL/TE/punter into a starting O lineman". Nowak and Gilliam will probably be solid in a year or two, but I'm tired of waiting. Brains and experience need to be emphasized when they bolster the line in the offseason. I mostly blame Cable for being...

BREAKING NEWS: Percy Harvin Traded to Jets

Maybe we'll shy away from trading for players and get back to our draft/develop players that fit the Seahawks' philosophy. My only concern is that continually clipping established players might lead to increased distrust for the front office among the players.
