..... from seahawks.com

maybe marsh could motivate himself to get sacks or TFL by limiting himself to a tattoo per occurrence or else he cant get one. because if that was the case he might only have one bicep full at this point so might give him that extra drive to make a play.

He can just get tattoos over tattoos for each play he makes. That's what that sweet "Boss" tattoo is for on his right arm. That's for that one TFL he had in 2015.

Marsh needs to pick up his game or he'll be outside looking in come September. With the depth that's been added so far this off season, I don't see him making the team after preseason unless he shows massive improvement.

Marsh arrived as a hybrid rookie without a position. He has improved every year. His versatility allows him to contribute on multiple teams. His special teams work has been featured as game highlights. His ball location and tackling have gone from wanting to exemplary. Marsh has been characterized as a player on the bubble before. And yet, he perseveres. It's the guys without gap discipline, without hand fighting skills, without ball location skills, without tackling skills and without teaching skills that are running out of time.

It's possible. However Marsh was and remains kind of the last player on the unit as far as pecking order. What really helps him is his ST value. He's not merely good at it. He's great at it. Any depth prospect that usurps his position is going to have to be one of two things. Either he'll have to be so much better as a DL as to make the loss palatable. Or that player is going to have to be somewhat better but also produce on ST at a high level.

I can't make that determination. But I don't see any of the depth guys we've added being nearly as proficient on STs as Marsh. He's a DE who acts and performs as a de facto gunner on coverage. That's exceptionally rare. Something that usually has been the role of LBs, FBs or DBs (Farwell, Robinson, McCray, Chancellor, Terrell). Having a player with DE size capable of doing that role is a huge advantage.

Great point. ST and versatility are huge factors that give Marsh an edge in terms of game day actives.

Taking a flier on a couple of potential development projects.

#67 is Shaneil Jenkins who was a notable preseason pass rusher for the Cowboys last preseason. Jenkins prides himself in being disruptive to offensive lines and getting into the backfield.

#93 is undrafted rookie Jeremy Liggins. Jeremy finished his college career as an offensive tackle. He is being looked at as a conversion project for the defensive line.

A lot of these conversion projects have similar backgrounds. Good athletes looking for a position. IIRC Liggins has been utilized as defensive end, tight end and offensive tackle. Going all the way back to high school, Liggins was a dual thread quarterback. Many teams project players to new positions. It's common practice thru out the NFL. The Seahawks have multiple candidates projected for new positions every year.

I have been wondering for a while what was the deal with Dion Jordan and Carroll finally mention that he had a clean up surgery to correct something Miami didnt fix but the encouraging thing is he says he is feeling better and that there's no more irritation. He has Malik type athleticism so if he gets right and regain his confidence back then this group can dominate the league. Go hawks.
