Thought #9

Turning our attention to the upcoming game against the 4-8 Panthers ...

The Seahawks are currently 0-3 against the NFC South ... which ain’t good. The Panthers counter that with an 0-3 record against the NFC West. Barring a tie, one of them will be 1-3 against the other division come Sunday night. My money is on Seattle.

Why?

Because they’re favored! And because they’re playing at home! And because they kind of have to win in order for the next game to be as huge as we all want it to be.

But also because the Panthers aren’t very good.

And because the Panthers are 1-8 outside their division (with their lone win coming against the Denver Broncos in Week 12).

Oh, and because the Panthers are 0-5 on the road this season.

Don't forget what the late Ron Fairley told us: If you score more than the other team...........you're gonna' win the game.

You take the good with the bad when it comes to Peat. They beat teams they should lose to and they lose to teams they should beat, in the end, he wins more than he loses.
The bad continues to be in game decision with challenges and timeouts. There was no video evidence that improbable catch hit the ground. That was a waste of a challenge. the timeout to avoid delay of game was too. All he saved was 1 or 2 yards with the ball inside the 5.

As improbable as a win was at that point, if you have 1 timeout left and your defence is not stopping the run, why punt with 6 min left when down 2 scores?

The offense can’t win every game. This defense is horrendous.
Our d-line is getting stuffed at the line of scrimmage and our d-backs have to do there job and cover. Ever since the New Orleans game teams have watched film and know that the Hawks can’t stop the run and can’t TACKLE. Period

No excuse for that decision. There's literally no logical way to justify it with that defense, none
