Severe lack of trust. All of which the team felt ofc.

Trying to draw them offsides was the "omfg you gotta be f*%$&#@ kidding me" moment we all mumbled.

Or severe over-confidence in the defence to make a stop. Which they didn't.
The defense kept us well in range down the stretch so avoiding a short field turned out just fine for us.

How, when they scored on the insuing drive?

Instead of them scoring immediately on a short field, as i recall it took 8 minutes for them to score, and the defense limited scoring the rest of the way.

You see it’s worse for your chances of winning when you give up scores quickly and better for a defense to limit possessions. Who knows what happens in that 8 minutes if we give up a quick score there but I’ll tell you what didn’t happen: we didn’t let the game get out of reach.

Yeah Pete is so stupid....everyone on .net just knew the D would give up that 3&13 that followed...

After failing the challenge and drawing them off I thought the punt was the right call, if they go no huddle from jump I would’ve been ok with that call.

In my opinion the game was lost when Russ threw the first pick, game could’ve been tied up with all the momentum going to the Hawks D. The second pick was a legit great play by the DB and the fumble I put on the center. Russ is rightfully getting gun shy, dude has been getting pounded and it seems opponents has free runners all the time....Jones had a huuuge whiff that almost got Russ killed.
First, second pick we’re both on Russ, the fumble was also on Russ, he had the ball in his hands and tried to get fancy and run with it instead of just falling on the ball and still keeping our offense on the field. Russ completely blew this game and needs to own up to it.

That's only assuming that we don't convert the 4th and 1... and it still sounds crazy to me.

Ok, a DB with a full lay out dive snatching a rope is Russ’s fault. Great plays happen, the NFL is full of great players. And yes handling a snap at your feet is simple. Russ will as always own his play.

After thinking about it made sense to punt it. We cant rely on our offense every game. Yes the Rams scored but that was the last score they did in the 2nd half. Bad PI gave them a 1st at the goal line.

Blame goes to the offense play calling and bad pass protection.

I didn’t say anything about the snap from a 3rd string center, I said Russ had the ball in his hands and should have fallen on it immediately, he wants to be considered MVP and the best QB in the league he can’t make silly mistakes like he’s been making, both interceptions were bad throws, the first one was just worse, Russ had and easy wide open run for at least a first down in the red zone. Also it made no sense he can try to throw to #88 im super tight coverage with a corner breaking hard on the ball but not ever give DK a single shot in tight coverage all day.

I was in complete and total shock that they didn't have Wilson just sneak it. Does he just not usually sneak? I thought I saw him do it once earlier this year.

That move alone is a borderline fireable offense IMO. He was probably the only human being watching that game on the planet that thought they should punt there

So now it's Russ' fault that the snap was at his feet.
I give up...………
Have a good week. Go Hawks!

I agree, I think it's silly to blame RW on the fumble. I don't even think the sideline throw interception was his fault. The DB just made a heck of a play on that ball. The endzone interception was pretty terrible, though.

Terrible by Pete. Russ not knowing where the first down marker was on the 3rd down play was also bothersome (Russ could have easily picked that up). The WORST part of it all is Pete not taking ownership in it being a bad call and trying to justify his decision. Coaches make bad calls and that's fine but not learning from such an obvious one is mind boggling.
