Wow just saw this. I like many of you really liked Alex. Didn’t we let him go and he had a great year for the Ravens? Regardless, I always wished we would have kept him. So sad to hear the news. 28? My goodness. To say too soon is a huge understatement. RIP young man.

My son in law is an orthopedic surgeon, after the first day of his residency, he putted his beloved Ducati racing bike up for sale and bought himself a car. The amount of surgeries and amputations from motorbike accidents was his wake up call.
I’ve lost count of the motorcycle fatalities that I’ve worked.

Most fatalities involving a motorcycle are from head trauma, most of them were not wearing helmets.

Please folks, if you ride, protect your dome.

Guys used to argue about their freedom, as personal freedom not to wear that helmet.

In a lofty place tanglin' with Satan over history.

The first time visiting Illinois we were on the freeway when two dudes fly past us STANDING UP poppin' wheelies like they were in a DMX video, WITH NO HELMETS ON. And they passed us with my dad driving so they had to be doing 85+. So dad tells me that there's not a "helmet law" in the state, and I remember being so conflicted, like, "that doesn't mean that you CAN'T wear a helmet!". I just was resigned to the conclusion that they obviously want to die if they crash. Like, eff being alive but crippled. Crazy shit.
