Wilson completed an astounding 82.86% percent of his throws against the Steelers. It marked a new career high (His previous best was an 82.76% completion rate in a Week 11 victory over the 49ers in 2015). Even more impressive? He did it while recording 35 passes.

Glad to see Russ playing so well right off the bat. He always seems to get off to a bit of a slow start while he finds his footing. In the past there's been some early rust with overthrows and passes that just seem off but I haven't seen that this year. Just for kicks I went back 5 years and looked and Russ is off to his best start:

2015: 3 TD, 2 INT, 457 yards, 91, 48 team points
2016: 1 TD, 1 INT, 512 yards ~80 Rating, 15 team Points
2017: 1 TD, 356 yards, ~75.5 Rating, 21 team pts
2018: 5 TD, 3 INT, 524 yards, ~88.5 Rating, 41 team pts

2019: 5 TD, 0 INT, 495 yards, 134.5 rating, 49 pts

I bet my bottom dollar, that if the running game is getting bottled up, and the Oline can't protect so they can't take deep shots, they are going back to the quick game.

Glad you brought this up because I noticed a couple thinking
I posted in a way that offended them.So I'm just going to try to get
through their thick RW skulls if possible..
I'm glad he had a good game and was a part of the teams win.
He is a game manager and a good one.All QB's are managing
the offense out there,it is what they do..Of course not all QB's
are good game managers but RW is.
He is getting paid $35 million per to be just that..I hated the amount
but it's done and I try to accept it best I can..I was a Hawks fan long
before him and I will be long after he is gone..

Okay the problem is, it is universally excepted even by experts that the term "Game Manager" means limited. Meaning he cant carry an offense. You want to walk that line and say all Qbs are game managers, that is fine, except it is not the excepted definition. So by saying Wilson managed the game you are saying he did little, he relied on the run game or defense or whatever, and doing nothing that 3/4 of the QBs in the league could do. Which is blatantly false.

While at its core all QBs do manage the game, the truly Elite ones do more, and though it may only be 4-5 plays a game, they more often than not come through. Wilson did that in the last game and has been doing that his whole career. There for the very limiting term "Game Manager" is in correct, as he is not just a game manager, but an elite QB who can do whatever is needed to win and has proven it over his career.

So there is the problem with your use of the term "Game Manager" and the way most take it.

Kudos also to the second half adjustments that took pressure off Wilson and allowed for many of the “green dots”. He’s always been great, but with the right game plan, I think he’s THE best in the league.

I felt his only mistake was really sliding just a skosh to early on that last drive, but better safe than sorry.
