We've read and posted a lot on the regression we have seen in the offense.

A particular stat that I find very disappointing is that our red zone percentage has actually decreased from 2022 so far. This is after adding potent weapons like JSN and Charbs, losing virtually no one, and having another year in the system for the vets like Geno to find continuity.

2022 RZ = 48.28%

2023 RZ = 47.22%

This puts us at 26th in the league. This is far too low for a team stacked with so much offensive talent, it's clearly reflective of systemic issues.

If we look at recently, it gets worse. In the last 3 games our RZ% is 40%. This ties us with the Panthers for fourth worst in the NFL. Yep, both NY teams have been better in the red zone than us the last three weeks. This last week? Tied for last with a 0.00% RZ effectiveness.

In summary-
2023 so far- 26th ranked
2023 last three -tied for 28th ranked
2023 last one- tied for 32nd ranked.

All this on an offense that features a QB coming off a Pro Bowl selection, Lockett, DK, JSN, Walker, Charbonet, Fant and Disley, Bobo, and high pick investments in the offensive line.

Absolutely no excuse for this level of performance, regardless of the success we have had in the (distant) past.

Unfortunately, Pete doesn't have the stones to fire Waldron mid season. He'll ride with him the rest of the year then make another underwhelming hire

They started off the season with one of the top red zone scoring pct (tds) but have steadily declined since the Giants game.
