We were incredibly fortunate to watch that Defense in it's prime no doubt. A lot of that was John and Pete's ability to see talent and get the most out of it. It was one hell of a run, and something I'm proud of. Those guys got their opportunities to come in and eventually take over starting roles. And man did they take over, next level. The intimidation, the bond they had, the flat out domination on the field etc. That's pretty rare to see a group do what they did.

The Lions once had Night Train Lane, Dick LeBeau, and Lem Barney all at the same time; the fact that we're at least in the discussion with that speaks incredibly about the LOB. Sad that they've all moved on to other teams, retirement, or federal prison now.
