Brady took the GOAT monker from Joe Montana. When? I'd say after the epic 28-3 comeback win. Everything after that only made him harder to catch. But Montana is still #2 and will be until someone hits or exceeds 5 rings.

He's kinda goofy looking, Like the product of a freckly redhead and black, yet all the traits show. At least Brady was classically handsome. IDK if Mahomes will ever look like an adult. His helmet rides too high on his head too. ...
A simple internet search reveals why this is the case:
... Mahomes started to lift the helmet further up over his head so it wasn’t dropping down in his line of sight. By resting it slightly further back on his head it’s able to stay secure and not block his view of the field.

It’s also a combination of the padding inside the helmet and Mahomes’ hair which does have a certain volume to it. ...

If greatness is measured just by super bowl wins then Marino, Fouts and Moon are scrubs.

Part of Brady's greatness is simply that he's played for a freakishly long time. The number of super bowls is astounding still, many great players don't get a single one. But a lot of the in-season numbers are just totals from a long career.

Mahomes does things that Brady wouldn't even consider. I agree that you have to put Brady on top - championships do count after all. If you were putting together an expansion team and you could fill it with any player from history in their prime, who would be your QB? It's hard to say anyone except Brady today.....but Mahomes might change that.

That's a tough call. In today's NFL, I'm taking Mahomes, no doubt. Brady did it in an era spanning fashion. No, he probably wasn't the best QB of the smash mouth era, nor is he the best of the current, highly protected era.

But, his success spanned both eras. Impressive as hell.

Right now, many wonder if Mahomes' success is attributable to Reid, in the same way they wondered if TB owes his success to BB. TB had just a sliver of time to prove that his success is not solely due to BB. Mahomes will have a much longer post-Reid career to prove it.

He may need to lock down one more ring with Reid, to have a chance of achieving Brady's total.
