Typical lousy team symptom: FIRE someone without a replacement in place.

The same goes for "Fire Pete brigade", name a replacement before chanting fire Pete.
So you would have kept Jackson? They stuck with him through historically bad seasons, in three seasons the Browns have three wins. In fact, Hue Jackson is actually one of the worst head coaches to ever coach the game: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2 ... l-history/

In two a two year span the Browns won a total of 1 game, and this season they have thrown winnable games, in great part due to poor coaching. So, you're telling me that the Browns actually have something to lose here by firing a historically bad coach? Please.

Fire Hue, why not? But fire Hue with no replacement ready? why now?

Well, there could be numerous reasons for that. The first of which is, what do you get by keeping Hue? Absolutely nothing. He offers nothing to the betterment of the team, he doesn't even offer stability at this point. With Hue Jackson there was in-fighting between staff members, and there are reports that he lost the locker room. It was a toxic mess, that is why he is gone. There is no reason to keep him on the team.

Hiring an interim coach lets you do several things. First of all it lets you have a season long interview process. The season is already sunk, why not see if anyone on the staff has the chops to be head coach? It also is a band-aid of sorts. There was a ton of toxicity and issues on the team this season. Perhaps he can at least get the team trended in the right direction and aid in the development of the player. There are a lot of reasons why this fire was justified, even in within the regular season.
