Okay. The Bailey deal even makes more sense now that the terms have been released. It is incentive laden. It is:

between $3.75 million and $6.75 million, based on various bonuses and incentives. But only the $500,000 signing bonus is guaranteed.

Bailey is due a base salary of $1 million this year, plus another $250,000 roster bonus if he is active for at least six games. In 2015, he is due $2 million in salary and roster bonuses.

That's pretty cap friendly there.

Only Saints fans believe the playoff game was "close"

Champs foot problems werent a problem in the Super Bowl. quit making excuses for him so he fits into your narrative. Incentive laden deals are given to players on a great decline.....

nice guy, time has passed.

No excuses needed. Just his mentoring alone is worth the $500,000 guaranteed. If he even approaches his 2012 form when he was last healthy he will be a steal. Nothing to lose and everything to gain.

so you hired another coach?

congrats...

meanwhile the best of the NFC is getting bigger, badder and faster.

The Saints offense, run much like the Broncos, has already been exposed by the 9ers and Seahawks. The Rams didnt struggle too much with it either.

Offenses like the Saints and Broncos should have been dealt a massive wakeup call last year. NFL teams are already in full "copy cat" mode, specifically to beat teams that try and throw it everywhere. It will be interesting to see how/if they respond.

If you had kept up with all of the Saints off-season moves you would see that they are planning on being much more physical ... on both sides of the ball. That is one big reason why they traded Darren Sproles and signed the big bruising fullback, Erik Lorig, from Tampa Bay.

kept up just fine....

the full back will make all the difference. sorry, I'm not convinced. the Saints have been paper tigers since their Super Bowl (which also came against a lightweight, pass happy Peyton Manning led team)

good luck in the Wild Card round

That what makes this so fun. Neither one of us truly has a clue as to what may happen with either team. It is all wait and see.
