That's my hope given we have no business carrying 3 quarterback until after NEXT year if that. My issue is that TJ is still on this team it's a waste of a roster spot for a player that might actually be something above league average at best in a position that's irrelevant no less. Much like 2 full backs in a league and team phasing the whole position into history.Bobblehead":2d7p2mjm said:I suspect they will only keep 2 qb's
If that is the case, it's very possible they keep 7 wr's.
Being BATES, Lockette, and Norwood.
Lockette is so good as the gunner on punts, his intimidating factor alone gives him a lot of points.
Every smart team abuses the IR system. I remember 2 years ago when Kansas City was 2-14 and a big thing I remember was that they never made any moves with the practice squad, IR etc. Then you have teams like New England, Seattle, San Francisco...they are always making some kind of move however minor.Popeyejones":2odnl2a3 said:Really can't imagine the Hawks keeping 7 WRs.
PC doesn't seem as enamored with otherwise extraneous ST specialists as some other teams. Personally I think it makes more sense for the Hawks to cut Lockette and keep Norwood than the reverse (is PC going to dress Lockette just to play ST? I don't think so, and the chances of Lockette being picked up by someone else is also pretty slim at this point IMO, meaning they can save him from his McDonald's job at any point this year if they need him for any reason).
Agreed that abusing the IR system is another likely scenario for Norwood (and no shade on that, as the 9ers lead the league in that abuse, probably).
