And thus ends the Sounders' year of losing dangerously. I had wondered how entertaining this tournament with zero momentum would look, but, it would have been neat to see them play against Madrid.

Yeah, I think they should have at least gone deep into the US Open and qualified for the MLS playoffs. Even if they had been immediately bounced out, and still lost on Saturday, that would have been easier to accept.
