It was third down when he threw it.

I think he realized that, just want clear when expressing it. You don't risk an INT on third down while reasoning that is the same thing as a punt.

Never understood that logic. An INT gets into a QBs head way more than a punt does. He may rethink his decision just a split second longer the next time around.

Another example: Bringing back to the Seahawks, now that Kam has done this once:

Wouldn't be surprised if this gets into the heads of the opposing special teams whenever they kick a field goal now

Lot of mental stuff goes on when an INT happens
