Lots of good stuff here, worth reading in full:
https://www.seattletimes.com/sports/sea ... -and-more/
- Rookie RB Rashaad Penny shared some first team carries with Chris Carson.
- “Bradley McDougald at strong safety and Tedric Thompson at free with the number one defense”
- Brandon Marshall caught a TD pass from Wilson. Marcus Johnson got a TD pass, as well. Johnson seems to have a knack for making the contested catch. He has also reportedly shown improvement as a gunner on special teams, which increases his team value. WR competition is going to be tight. Baldwin expected back by Week 1. Lockett & Brown are locks. Keenan Reynolds has been showing out in the slot, and he is taking on a role as a blocker on returns. Damorea’ea Stringfellow caught two TDs today. Darboh and Moore have also been praised, but Moore is currently sitting out with a hip injury. The WR competition is insane.
-“[CB Trovon] Reed caught up to a deep Russell Wilson pass intended for Marcus Johnson that appeared to get hung up in the wind a little to pick it off, his fourth interception in three days.”
- Quinton Jefferson and rookie Jacob Martin had good days at DE, as Marcus Smith and Rasheem Green sat out practice. We’ve been hearing a lot about Martin’s athleticism and explosiveness. But it’s good to hear that Jefferson had a good showing.
- The kickers were a combined 9/9 today.
- This article has plenty of other interesting points (rookie Will Dissply flashing as a receiving TE, after getting plaudits on his blocking, etc.), but these were a few that caught my eye.
