I hate to pass myself off as any kind of expert on offensive lines as I literally didn't play any offense after Pop Warner, but I learned a little while I played and throughout the years. I really think we made a fundamental mistake by not putting Ifedi at tackle. He's built like a tackle and he has the athletic ability. In fact, he's almost the same exact size as Walter Jones. I am not comparing him to the great Walter but he was drafted to be a tackle.
Also, Webb is playing completely out of position. Watch him, he is too upright in his blocking, at 6'7" he doesn't have the right body for a guard and he is getting old and doesn't have the athleticism to play lower. Other than that, it's a tough call. Would it have been better to start Odhiambo at the other guard? I don't know, but I think we should have kept Patrick Lewis to keep more options open. In either case, I don't see how these guys could be any worse than what we have and it's a better build for the future.
