Eff Bevell. Wait until they lose to Oakland today.

This.

If Bevell had quietly disappeared after the SB, I could have been more forgiving. Instead, I had to endure his stupid presence on our sideline for three more seasons.

Bevel did it again. On the one yard line, run the damn ball. Instead he passes and they lose! Some shit never changes.

Who did he blame it on this time?
Great question. Pretty sure he didn’t blame himself. His type never does.

For those trying to pump Bevell up, just realize the Seahawks would be 4-5 or 5-4 if he was still here.

Schotty's excellent red zone play calling is a big factor in why they are 7-2.

Hell yeah man. The Hawks have been over 60% in TD conversions since Schotty got here.

What was it under Bevell, like 35% roughly? I'm just spitballing here. Anyone know the actual numbers?

not trying to pump up Bevell, but when you have a long CABLE with an anchor at the end, that hurts

My counter to that is this.

He knew Cable was costing him millions of dollars in future pay based on the loss of head coaching and OC gigs. He needed to tell Carroll "me or him" and could have either moved on with his career or had some semblance of a regular offensive line for the rest of his time in Seattle.

Schotty's excellent red zone play calling is a big factor in why they are 7-2.

And Russell's incremental development under Schotty's guidance. Now Russell takes sacks of 5ish yards instead of bailing out the back of the pocket and taking a 20 yard sack. And Russell steps up in the pocket more, and doesn't run himself into nearly as many sacks. Russell is simply more composed and mature.

I think Russell passes over the short middle more since Schotty, and with success. Including in the Red Zone. Heck, a good chunk of the improved Red Zone success might just be Russell using the middle of the field more and also using TE's more. Case in point: the pass up the seam to Jacob Hollister against Tampa Bay, that set up the tying TD.

Then we could just as easily say the improvement comes from Solari putting a reasonably decent O-Line out there. Russell gets time for one more read than he used to.

Russell also can't run like he used to and knows he can't make as many plays with his legs
