I am very happy if Murray ends up in Philly. The Cowboys with Murray were our biggest threat in the NFC next year IMHO. I am not nearly as worried about Philly with Murray.

Why do you say this, he just swapped out McCoy for Murray AND Alonso, for less money and like 700 less carries on his body.

McCoy is a good runnin back who gets a lot of yards but also gives up a lot of yards because he's looking for a home run instead of taking 4 yards. Chip wants running backs who will make one cut and go, rather then dancing and looking for something bigger.

About the same per year average, but Shady got more guaranteed cash, but again 600 less carries on Murray's body............also a better attitude (which I assume was a big factor in jettisoning McCoy out of town).

Sproles has a big dead cap hit in 2015, so they really don't save a whole lot by cutting him.

Doubt his roll changes. He'll be the utility, change of pace back while Murray and Mathews split carries as the primary backs. I'm sure he'll see action in the slot and return game as well.
