Depth at WR is good. The team wouldn't have let PRich and JG leave if they weren't comfortable with the depth. The team didn't draft a WR.

Play calling and execution is going to be more important than who is receiver number 4 or 5.

I don't know who will end up on the roster but the Hawks have brought in a lot of solid competition. The PS is going to be loaded again with some intriguing WRs.

This is enough for me to make him sit out the entire preseason. Baldwin is the number one weapon in our offense, at least before one of the running backs proves otherwise. No reason to risk more injury to him, i'ts not like the coaches do not know what they will get and need to check him out before regular season...

The team didn't have a choice financially but to let them go. I didn't feel comfortable with the depth even with Doug as the #1 target, and now he's out.

That's Pete speak for atleast 4 regular season games

No, it's after "should be back real soon" that a guy ends up being out that long (see: Naz Jones).

We're probably looking at IR.

Come on guys, let it play out. Why assume the worst?
Until I see him actually miss a game, I'm not gonna' waste energy assuming he's somehow going to miss the opener.

If only there was like a month or so of some sort like pre season or something. That would give a guy a while to get over an injury that didn't even keep him from playing catch with coach Carroll. But, seeing how the regular season starts tomorrow, we are screwed. IR for sure. Just happy that Pete wasn't vague, and we know exactly what was wrong so we don't have to sit and speculate the worst.

So wait, you're telling me that there is a pre-season? And that the regular season doesn't start for 38 days....as in 5 plus weeks? Mind........blown :2thumbs:

That's cutting it close. Good thing he has a great connection with Wilson so the missed time would matter least to him of anyone else on the offense.

Why would you risk playing him during the preseason? Give him all the time he needs to get right.

The best "news" here is the further confirmation that he should be ready to play by Week 1.

This will give opportunities for the young WRs to see who will step forward and make their mark.

Glass half full.

"Doctors are Hopeful and confident" ..... those words can not exist. They are either hopeful or confident but they can not be both. If they said confident I would say its confirmation he should be ready for week 1.

Confident with their timetable; hopeful he doesn't suffer a setback.

^^^

"Doctors" is a plural form of the word. So ..... one of them is hopeful and the other is confident. :229031_shrug:

And there is the silver lining that it draws more national coverage ......... which should make our good friend Aros happy. :2thumbs:
