Eric Kendricks, Vikes released him.

OK guys can someone explain to me why it appears .net has no interest in him, Vikes released him 4 days ago, defensive caption, pro bowl and all pro MLB, and a leader in the locker room. Only 8 years in the league and seems to be cheap at 9 mil and was on his last year of that contract. Been a Vike all his career. I don't get the non-interest in him.

Thanks for the reply, but I don't see that drop off, according to his NFL stats. 2022 was his best season with 74 solo tackles and 50 assists!

there's far more to LB than "total tackles"

he's not considered a top LB. PFF gave him a 61.1 grade in 2022, 59.2. down from a 90.2 in 2019.

he's regressed. the vikings forums have noted this and won't miss him. they expected his release.

Kendricks is probably in that Bobby Wagner of 'still good' but 'older'. I think both of them are worth taking a good look at but its definitely a priority in the first 4 picks in the draft.
