Pete knew that Dallas knew that he doesn't like to throw into the middle.

So he figured that Dallas would think that he would be desperate enough to break that tendency and have the middle shut down.

So Pete thought he would completely out scheme them but going back to his favorite tendency and run every route out and along the sidelines.

If Geno wasn't Geno and Parsons wasn't Parsons and Pete wasn't Pete - it would have worked perfectly.
