So, you name the QB's we beat. How about who we lost to?

Palmer, having a career year, team is balling
Dalton....ditto...overtime loss
Rodgers.....not as well lately, but on fire when we played them.
Foles..... against a weak defense missing players. overtime loss
Newton....Having his best year and undefeated team.

It is TOTALLY relevant that we came up short a play here or there.

Our claim to fame was slaying those monsters. Now we excuse the losses because they have decent QBs.

Why are people talking like Wilson is playing terrible? He's dipped for sure but the numbers are still solid. Feels a little like people are overreacting. He needs to play better but he hasn't been absolutely Terrible either.

Total obsession with unrealistic expectations seems so normal around here.

Youd think some of these people had only started watching in 2012 and have no frame of reference to gauge a down season on.

We have never had this type of talent so the expectations and frustration are completely justified. Jumping off a bridge, no.

They're justified for 2.5 seconds. The last Superbowl didn't cure you of investing a lot in expectations?

Is he playing that much worse than last year. He was pretty horrible at times last year too. Go watch the first 52 minutes of the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, go watch the Dallas game we lost last year, or the Denver game before OT. Lots of people have given Russ qb ability (passing) a pass over his career because he has won many games. But the defense, beast and Russ' ability to run at times have been the primary reason we have been successful. Russ as a passer has been average if not slightly below average his entire career.


Now to this year.......Gilliam isn't strong enough to run block, so beast can only run middle to left, we can't run zone read to the right because Gilliam and Graham can't seal edge......and Britt has been absolutely horrendous at pass blocking from inside. Because we can't run as well, play action has not been as successful and that is Russ' strength. All this has put our offense in 3rd and long way too many times........and just like the previous 3 seasons as with most qbs, 3rd and long is a major struggle.

Problem for Russ is that he makes 22 mil a year, not 750,000 a year any more.....his teammates expect more, most fans expect more and his coaches/management expect more....but Russ is the same Russ and I'm afraid he is where he always will be (I would like to see him with a more aggressive OC and a better line, however where will the money come from is a big ????)

so a few things 1 he only makes 700 k this year. 2nd you do not have the highest QB rating of any Qb over their first 3 years by not being able to pass. Every QB has some off games. This year the biggest difference is neither He nor Lynch can cover up how bad this oline is. In the past they could. Every QB needs help even the best. Proof look at Rodgers his oline was top 15 but the last few games they have struggled and guess what so has he. With us its not only the oline, but the run game, play calling, play design etc. AS to better OC yeah so would I, as to better oline they have had 3+ years to improve the oline and shown they do not care. PC has said this team is built on running and defense. We guess what you cant run and your defense is having issues and your oline is so bad your QB cannot do much to help. This has little to do with how much Wilson does or does not make. But how they ignored the oline.
